Publication Frequency
Jurnal Hukum (P-ISSN: 1412-2480 | E-ISSN: 2776-7248) is a peer-reviewed open access journal that is published by the Department of Law, in collaboration with the Institute for Research and Community Service (LPPM), Muhammadiyah University of Kotabumi. Since its establishment in 2019, the journal has consistently published two regular issues every year, in July and December.

Peer Review Process
Legalita adopts a double-blind peer review process, where the identities of both the reviewers and the authors are kept anonymous to ensure objectivity, fairness, and the integrity of the evaluation.
Review Procedure

Initial Screening
All submitted manuscripts are first evaluated by the editorial team to ensure that they meet the basic journal criteria, including scope, structure, and formatting. Manuscripts that do not meet these criteria will be returned to the author for revision prior to review. -
Plagiarism Check
Before being sent to reviewers, manuscripts are checked for plagiarism using professional software. The maximum allowable similarity index is 25%. -
Reviewer Assignment
Eligible manuscripts are assigned to at least two reviewers who are experts in the relevant field. Reviewers evaluate the manuscript based on originality, methodology, relevance, clarity, and contribution to legal knowledge. -
Review Timeline
The peer review process generally takes 4–6 weeks. However, this may vary depending on reviewer availability and the complexity of the manuscript. -
Author Revision
Based on the reviewers' feedback, authors may be asked to revise their manuscripts. The revised version must be resubmitted within the specified time frame, and it may undergo further rounds of review if necessary. -
Editorial Decision
After the final review, the editorial board will decide to:-

Accepted manuscripts will undergo final editing and proofreading before publication.
Review Ethics
Legalita ensures that all reviews are conducted professionally, fairly, and confidentially. Reviewers are required to disclose any conflict of interest and to refrain from using any part of the manuscript for personal advantage.
