About the Journal
Jurnal Hukum Legalita (Legalita) (P-ISSN: 1412-2480 | E-ISSN: 2776-7248) is a peer-reviewed academic journal published biannually—every July and December—by the Department of Law, in collaboration with the Institute for Research and Community Service (LPPM), Universitas Muhammadiyah Kotabumi, Indonesia. Since its establishment in 2019, Legalita has served as a scholarly platform to disseminate the results of research and critical analyses in the field of law.
The journal focuses on the development of legal scholarship in criminal law, civil law, constitutional law, state administrative law, and legal aspects of societal phenomena. Legalita encourages contributions that build awareness of legal culture and stimulate intellectual discourse on legal reforms and practices in Indonesia and beyond.
In addition to its primary scope, the journal is also open to interdisciplinary legal research that explores law from broader social, philosophical, political, and economic perspectives. Submissions may include empirical studies, normative research, comparative law analyses, or theoretical frameworks that align with the journal’s objectives. Manuscripts that have successfully passed the editorial and peer review process are published online with an initial view, ensuring timely dissemination of new knowledge.
