Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The articles must have been checked by Turnitin, and the maximum similarity level allowed is 25%. Each author is required to upload proof of the similarity check.
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

GENERAL INFORMATION

  1. Manuscripts must be original, have not been published previously in any scientific journal, that manuscripts are not being submitted for publication elsewhere, and will not be submitted to any media during the review process, unless the outhors have officially withdrown the manuscripts from Jurnal Agrimals.
  2. Manuscripts submitted are research topics which have no conflict with bioethical research.
  3. Journal Agrimals will use Turnitin's originality checking software as the tool in detecting similarities of texts in article manuscripts and the final version articles ready for publication. A maximum of 25% of similarities is allowed for the submitted papers. Should we find more than 25% of the similarity index, the article will be returned to the author for correction and resubmission.
  4. Manuscripts encompass a board range of research topics agriculture and animals science:

a. Agriculture includes crop cultivation and engineering, plant breeding and biotechnology, crop and land management technology, agricultural ecosystems, exploration of fertilizers and pesticides, plant pests, all agricultural agribusiness activities (the manufacture and distribution of farm supplies, production on farm, and marketing), counseling and farming empowerment.

  1. Animal Husbandry includes nutrition, feed science, feed technology, livestock production, management and the environment, breeding and genetics, reproduction and physiology, livestock biotechnology, livestock health, livestock product technology, and livestock socio-economics.
  2. The journal is published 2 (two) times a year, i.e. Mei and Oktober.

MANUSCRIPT FILE

  1. Manuscripts are written in Indonesia or English and used standardscientific usage.
  2. Manuscripts should be prepared in miscrosoft word format, except for graphs using microsoft excel program and figures using JPEG or PDF format.
  3. Manuscripts should be typed using Times New Roman fonts at 12 points. Manuscripts should by typed 1,5 spaced. Manuscripts are prepared in A4 paper, margins left and right 3 cm, top and bottom 2,5 cm, total number of pages is 8-15.
  4. Manuscripts content should be arranged as the following order: Title, name of the outhor(s), Institution, Email Address, Abstract and Keywords, Introduction, Methods, Results and Discussion, Conclusion, Acknowledgment (if any), References.
  5. References to the contents of the manuscript are made in the bodynote by including the last name and year of publication (for authors more than three accompanied by "et al. or dkk.").
  6. Manuscripts should be submitted electronically through online: http://umko.ac.id.

CONTENT OF MANUSCRIPT

  1. Title must be brief, clear, specific, and informative that reflects precisely the contents of the text. The maximum title of 15 word (excluding conjunctions) is written in Indonesia and english. Each word in the title of the text begins with a capital letter, except conjuntions.
  2. Author (s), Institution, Email Address. The author's name is written in full and accompanied by the type of expertise possessed and the name of the institution. However, the academic degree, type of expertise and institution name are listed as footnotes on the first page of the article. If the article is written by a team of three, all team members' names are listed. However, if the number of members is more than three people, the second author and so on are included in a footnote on the first page of the article. Email address and agency are written under the author's name.
  3. Abstracts are written in English and Indonesia, not exceeding 150 - 200 word and in one paragraph. Abstract is typed with a single space and a narrower margin than the main text (left and right indent 1.2 cm or 5 letters) in one paragraph. The abstract is written in full that describes the essence of the text which contains the background, methods, results, and conclusions, and contains all keywords.
  4. Keywords should be written in no more than 5 (five) word or phrases are written 1,5 spaces aftr abstract.
  5. Introduction is written efficiently and describes the background, problems, objectives, frame of mind, hypotheses, and references that support them.
  6. Methods is written in comlate and detailed. Methods include the design / design, samples / data sources, measurement instruments, data collection techniques, and data analysis techniques.
  7. Results and discussion contain the result obtained and the interpretations associated with the results of previous studies.
  8. Conclution should be written conclusions and suggestions that are general that describe the substance of research results obtained, not a summary of results.
  9. Acknowledgement (if any) to prerson or institution.

References contains all written sources (books, journal, official documents, ore outher sources from the internet) or printed (for CD, video, film, or tapes) that have been cited and used in writing scientific papers. Citations APA (American Psychological Association) standard. References at the end of the manuscript is alphabetical.
